Group De Cloedt specialises in Aggregates, Dredging, Environment and Logistics and offers a large variety of services related to these activities. These go from maintenance dredging works to soil remediation and beach replenishments.
AGGREGATES
As a top 5 player in this field, Group De Cloedt owns various marine concessions in the North Sea off the Belgian and Danish coast, as well as in the Baltic Sea. As such this enables the exploitation, production, and commercialisation of various types of sand and gravel. Other materials like limestone, construction materials, Park Gold, Vittel sandstone, silica sand, clay, shells, gneiss, etc... are exploited and produced by the company-owned land quarries in Belgium and Norway. Products from the quarries in Norway are commercialised and distributed across the whole of Northern Europe and products from the quarries in Belgium are distributed across the Benelux and Northern France.
DREDGING
Group De Cloedt carries out dredging contracts under its own administration or with partners and / or subcontractors. This concerns both environmental dredging works and capital dredging works. We also provide specialised support to hydraulic engineering contractors. Classically, the work in which sand and / or gravel is supplied to build combi walls, sheet pile walls.
This business is managed centrally from the headquarters in Brussels. Projects take place predominantly in Northern and Western Europe and on a case-by-case basis in other countries.
ENVIRONMENT
Group De Cloedt manages the execution of environmental remediation works, mainly sediment and soil & groundwater remediation, the cleaning & valorisation of contaminated soils & mineral waste and dredging sludge, and the treatment & valorisation of construction and demolition waste. Environmental works are executed on a continuous basis in Belgium, where we are a top 3 player in this field, thanks to our intensive network of sites & facilities and, on a project basis in various other counties, thanks to the physical presence of sites & facilities of the aggregate business.
LOGISTICS
Group De Cloedt has its own shipping department and manages of all the logistics, coordination, and communication, for all countries where business is done. Therefore, it has a logistic centre in the Benelux and another in Northern Europe. We ship around 4 million tonnes of hard stones across Northern & Western Europe per year.
