Group De Cloedt Expands in Denmark with Acquisition of Kroghs A/S and Danopal A/S

Founded in 1935 and headquartered near Fjerritslev by the North Sea, Kroghs A/S has a long-standing tradition of excellence in the production of high-quality materials for the concrete and asphalt industries. With around 40 skilled employees, the company specializes in the extraction, processing, and distribution of stone, gravel, and sand, as well as the production of cement-based dry mortars and concrete.

Key Operations at Kroghs A/S:

• Laboratory: Ensures consistent product quality through rigorous testing and innovation.
• Dry Mortar Department: Produces nearly 20,000 tons of dry concrete mortar annually for the construction sector.
• Bradsted Gravel Pit: Supplies over 300,000 tons of premium gravel each year, primarily for ready-mix concrete.
• Lady of Chichester: A trailing suction hopper dredger that collects over 325,000 tons of marine sand and gravel annually from Jyske Rev.
• Thyborøn Site: Processes more than 350,000 tons of marine materials annually for use in concrete and prefabricated elements.

Located near Frøstrup, Danopal A/S is a sister company to Kroghs A/S, specializing in quartz sand and dried quartz sand. Producing approximately 75,000 tons annually, Danopal serves industries such as iron foundries, insulation manufacturing, and cattle bedding.

Following the acquisition, long-time owner and director Steen Krogh has stepped down. We are pleased to welcome Hans Christian Andersen as the new director of both companies. A familiar face within Group De Cloedt, Hans Christian brings a wealth of experience and insight to his new role.
