Description of the works

The loading and internal transport, loading of ships and the actual removal of > 45.000 m³ of contaminated soil (with or without the presence of the invasive exotic Japanese knotweed) to suitable processing locations including:

  • Obtaining the permits and environmental sediment research, taking samples and analysis.
  • Cleaning of the contaminated soil, inert waste materials and others.
  • Safety measures regarding the presence of the Japanese knotweed.
  • Stabilization measures of the 18m high embankments.
  • All arrangements and full administrative processing.

Our added value

  • Reduced execution times and optimal management of transport (waterway).
  • Physico-chemical treatment at the licensed facility of Group De Cloedt in Genk to remove the rhizomes of the Japanese knotweed, heavy metals and polyaromatic hydrocarbons.
