Mobilization & build-up of the DC Volkracht

The DC Volkracht can be built in different configurations. A different arrangement can be chosen for each type of work. The following arrangement was chosen for this work:

  • Mother pontoon with GNSS system, 2 spud poles and winches.
  • 2 side floats 1.20 m wide
  • Swivel ladder 10m with cutter head
  • Spud pole pontoon
  • Gasoil pontoon 10m³
  • Coupling pontoon pipe
  • Steel auxiliary boat with outboard engine
  • 200 m floating pipeline
  • 2,700 m land pipeline (10" * 12 m length)

Make-up model GNSS system

The DC Volkracht is equipped with the most modern GNSS dredging system with Stema sensors and Beamworx software which enables positioning with an accuracy of up to 2cm.

After the survey by a recognized surveyor's office, a theoretical model of the creek was drawn up. This data was installed on the dredging system which allows accurate dredging and registration of progress. During the works, the registrations of the system were monitored via the AutoClean software.
